faevii: (just my face)
My hair has reached one of those annoying lengths where you actually need to do something with it in the morning for it to look okay. I'm handling this by ignoring mirrors until it passes. XD

Well, sometimes I have to look, though, and on one such occasion I noticed something. I'm starting to suspect that I don't just have an unfortunate tendency to make funny faces while taking pictures of myself, but that one of my eyes is actually smaller than the other one. o_O (<- most appropriate occasion for using that emoticon, ever) It doesn't bother me, in fact I think it's funny ... but there's a chance I might only be imagining it.

On the other hand, what if I've made that face so often over the course of my life that it has shaped my eyes?? Maybe I should try to do it the other way around, LOL. Note to self: When planning to raise an eyebrow in the future, pick the right one. Except I'm pretty sure I already do that most of the time ...

Uh ... my PhotoImpact just broke. I mean, I always suspected that it might not be completely compatible with Windows 7 because some parts of the interface were a bit wonky and occasionally I'd get a random error, but now it suddenly doesn't work anymore at all. How annoying! I don't think reinstalling it for such a short time would be worth the effort, especially considering that it might not even help.

What do I do now?? I'd feel uncomfortable downloading Photoshop again. The only reason why I got PhotoImpact in the first place was that it was on sale for €15 and I figured it was a great opportunity to get rid of the one illegally downloaded program I was using. I don't know of any free or open source software with similar features aside from GIMP, which I always found too hard to use. I know someone made a customised version of it that looks like Photoshop, but I never managed to get that one to work.

Ugh, there must be something. I could try adding shitloads of plugins to either Paint.NET or IrfanView to see if I'd end up with every feature I need, but somehow that doesn't seem likely. And I had just become so accustomed to PhotoImpact, too. :(

I predict that in the end I'll probably cave and go with Photoshop.
