faevii: "I sacrificed a bathtub for this!" (sacrifice)
Wow, it's been a month since the last time you heard of me, huh? Eventually they did turn off our internet, just as I'd stopped expecting it. I've got prepaid internet for about three or four days now, but after that I'll be gone again. Hopefully not for long, though, because I do plan on getting my own flatrate set up as soon as possible. It's just that I still haven't moved. >_<

Basically, to make a long story short, I got sick twice and could hardly participate in painting my own freaking walls, plus I didn't get my money as early as I'd hoped and absolutely everything is taking way too long. But I do have a washing machine already, heh.

Not having internet access wasn't so bad, though I missed being able to talk to certain people. Also, life without Google? Very impractical. Still, I had unread books and unwatched tv shows to entertain myself with, so overall it was alright.

It got mildly annoying when Daniel sold the XBox. I think I once mentioned that he was planning to give it to me, but then he needed the money really badly. What this meant was that suddenly the computer was the only device we could play DVDs on ... so almost every single time any of us wanted to use it for anything, at least one person needed to be convinced to give it up first. @_@ Right now it's not so bad because I'm in the process of fixing my sleeping schedule once again and get the nights to myself. And as soon as that's done, I'll be busy anyway.

Hahaha. Ever since I started watching Supernatural, I keep seeing the number 66 everywhere. For example, I just uploaded all of the icons that I made while I was offline and now I have a total of 66. By the way, does anyone know what will happen to them if my paid time runs out?? I searched the FAQ, but couldn't find anything on that.

... Yes, I've been watching Supernatural. I put it off for a long time because I'd heard some questionable things about it and was afraid I'd develop a sort of love-hate relationship with it or something (plus the previews never appealed to me back when I still had regular television*), but then I was running out of unwatched tv shows and figured why the hell not. My only other option would have been Heroes, which I am putting off for an entirely different reason (I already know the first season, but don't remember enough of it to just start with the second).

At first I actually did find it a little boring. Couldn't stand Dean, either. I kept watching because I had nothing else to do and it wasn't that bad, and then ... well. Then it got awesome? And, and ... and the MUSIC. And the X-FILES REFERENCES. Oh my, that one episode in season two still had me laughing three hours later. I'm not even exaggerating. And just, you know, the fact that it doesn't make me cry all the time like Doctor Who (sorry, Doctor - it's nothing personal). Then things got really exciting, too. And by season four? Do I even need to say it? One word: CASTIEL. If anyone ever had an argument, it's now invalid.

And then. Oh my. Sam and Dean discover fandom. XD How did that even manage to be so hilarious in the midst of all the drama that was going on?! I nearly died. "They do know we're brothers, right?" LMAO, right. I don't quite understand the Dean/Sam slash fans myself, though. It's not the brothers thing, just ... what are they seeing that I don't see?? Do I need to have my slash goggles looked at? ;)

Also, Dean trying to get Castiel to have sex with a woman. LOL FOREVER. I want a Castiel of my own, please. We could just sit around and look confused together all day.

I'm somewhere near the middle of season five now. Yay for long American seasons.

By the way, I also reread Good Omens recently and that was before I even knew what Supernatural was leading up to. What is it with me and the end of the world? Or angels and demons, for that matter? I had fun comparing the two different interpretations, though (for the record, GO wins).

*I suspect that was only because I was upset about The X-Files being over, though. I was like, "Oh great, so this is the new mystery show they're replacing it with? No thanks." XD
